Copy Android project with a new name in Eclipse

  1. Copy your project into new one (ctrl+c & ctrl+v) in project Package Explorer (folder tree).

  2. Change package-name in AndroidManifest.xml

    package=”com.example.new_package_name

  3. Rename your main package with refactor. Don’t forget to select package and press F2.

  4. Just change your application name in AdroidManifest.xml

    application android:icon=”@drawable/icon” android:label=”new name

    or in strings.xml
    name=”app_name”>new name
